It works by blocking certain nerve impulses to the heart, which slows down the heart rate and makes the heart beat more efficiently and with less pressure. The "COR" version specifically refers to the lower doses (like 2.5mg) often used to protect the heart in chronic conditions. Indications: Hypertension: Lowering high blood pressure to prevent strokes and heart attacks. Chronic Heart Failure: Strengthening the heart's performance over time (usually used alongside other medications). Angina Pectoris: Preventing chest pain by reducing the heart's workload and oxygen demand. Tachycardia: Controlling a fast or irregular heartbeat to keep it within a healthy range. How to Use: Dosage: Usually one tablet daily, preferably in the morning. Your doctor may start you on a lower dose and gradually increase it.
