Intro: Concor 10mg is the highest standard strength of Bisoprolol fumarate produced by Amoun (under license from Merck). This strength is typically reserved for patients who require maximum heart rate control or those with significantly high blood pressure that did not fully respond to the 5mg dose. As a highly selective beta-blocker, it works deeply to reduce the workload on the heart and stabilize its rhythm. Indications: Severe Hypertension: Managing high blood pressure that requires a stronger therapeutic effect. Advanced Angina Pectoris: Long-term prevention of chest pain in patients with chronic heart disease. Heart Failure Management: Used in specific titration phases (under strict supervision) to protect the heart muscle. Tachyarrhythmias: Controlling fast or irregular heartbeats that are resistant to lower doses. How to Use: Dosage: Usually one tablet (10mg) daily in the morning. This is often the maximum recommended daily dose for many patients. Consistency: Take it at the same time every day to maintain stable levels in your bloodstream. It can be taken with or without food. Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it. Crucial Rules: Withdrawal Risk: Never stop taking Concor 10mg abruptly. Because this is a high dose, a sudden stop can cause severe "rebound" symptoms, including a sharp rise in blood pressure, heart palpitations, or even a heart attack. Your doctor will provide a slow tapering plan over 1–2 weeks. Renal/Hepatic Limits: For patients with severe kidney or liver disease, the daily dose generally should not exceed 10mg. Dizziness & Driving: Since the 10mg dose can significantly lower blood pressure, you may feel dizzy or tired, especially when starting. Avoid driving until you know how the medication affects you. Pulse Monitoring: If your resting heart rate falls below 50 beats per minute, or if you feel exceptionally weak, contact your doctor immediately.
